Termite Control

Stop Them Before it's Too Late

Termites are one of the most destructive pests that can invade our home or business. They do not directly attack people or animals. Instead, they cause severe structural damage and will most likely ruin the aesthetic of a beautiful house or building if all conditions were made perfect. Therefore, it is important to prevent access to termites into our homes and office/ industrial buildings. There are various methods available to control termites, such as physical barriers, chemical barriers and termite baits, which can be effectively combined to gain optimum results.

How do you know that you have termites?

Appearance

Since termites mostly live underground and in the walls of your home, you are unlikely to see the termites themselves.

Telltale Signs

Since It's Unlikely that you'll see the termites themselves, You can look for the following signs :

  • Termite droppings which look like small, ridged, wood-colored pellets.
  • TMud tubes on the exterior surface (pictured to the left).
  • Wings all of the same size (look like tiny fish scales) shredded near an entry point to your home.

Since some of these signs are difficult to detect, we recommend regular inspection by a pest-control professional.

Tips for Preventing Termite Infestation

  • Eradicate the collection of moisture by fixing pipes, A/C units, and other home fixtures prone to leaking.
  • Ensure drainage sites remain clean and effective.
  • Caulk cracks in the foundation and around utility lines or pipes.
  • Keep plants and mulch well maintained.
  • Store firewood and lumber away from the home.
  • Get rid of excess wood like tree stumps or yard debris.
  • Install appropriately sized screens on exterior vents.
  • Monitor outdoor wooden structures for signs of infestation.
